How It Works
Our 48-Hour Short Film Competition is proudly sponsored by Vaylin Entertainment!
On Friday August 20th at 6PM EST, you will receive an email outlining the prompt(s) and any other specific criteria. You must submit your entry to us by Sunday August 22nd at 6PM EST.
The winner will be selected by the CREATE Niagara team and guest judge, Actor/Filmmaker, and MRP Studios Creative Director, Nick Mirka!
Registration closes on August 20th at NOON (12PM EST). By registering, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to CREATE Niagara’s Rules and Regulations and Licensing Agreement.
The winner will be announced September 9th 2021.
Some specifics:
- Entries: 1
- Duration: 10 minutes max.
- Entries can be any genre
- File format: Video file or link (unlisted YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)
Eligibility:
- Residents of Niagara Falls and surrounding areas
- Aged 16 years and up
Registration Fee (non-refundable):
- $15.00 Standard
- $10.00 Students (currently enrolled in high school and who meet all other eligibility criteria)

Short Film Prize
48-Hour Short Film Competition Prize:
- 1-1 feedback session with Nick Mirka, 48-Hour Competition guest judge, Actor/Filmmaker (Tales from the Ale Trail, Cafe Amore, Ermon County: Gateway of the Fallen), and MRP Studios Creative Director
- $150 Henry’s gift card
- Winning Short Film will be published on our website and promoted across all our social media channels
