How It Works
Our 48-Hour Music Competition is proudly sponsored by Invittco!
Open to ALL Singer-Songwriters, Duos, Groups, or Bands of ALL skill levels!
On Friday July 9th at 6PM EST, you will receive an email outlining the Competition prompt(s) and any other specific criteria. You must submit your entry to us by Sunday July 11th at 6PM EST. The winner will be selected by the CREATE Niagara team and announced July 29th, 2021!
The Rules
- Entries can be of ANY musical style or genre
- Entries: up to 3 songs
- Song duration: 5 minutes max.
- Each song entry MUST include a recording of the song (audio or video accepted) and type written lyrics
- Recorded song file formats: Audio – .mp3, .wav; Video – .mp4, .avi
- Accepted lyric file formats: .pdf, .docx
- Theme /Lyric Prompts: Will be sent in the “48-Hour Competition Start” email
- All entries must be original, unpublished, and recorded within the 48-hour Competition timeline. All entries must be submitted by the Competition end Date/Time.
- You may use/rework music you have previously written, as long as it is unpublished, is not plagiarized, and does not violate copyright
- Any work found to be plagiarized or to violate copyright will be disqualified, and require the return of any prizes
Eligibility:
- Residents of Niagara Falls and surrounding areas
- Aged 16 years and up
Registration Fee (non-refundable):
- $15.00 Standard
- $10.00 Students (currently enrolled in high school and who meet all other eligibility criteria)
By registering, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to CREATE Niagara’s 48HR Music Competition Rules and Regulations and Licensing Agreement.
Registration closes on July 7th at 11:59PM EST.

Music Prize
48-Hour Music Competition Prize:
